The American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics Inc. (ABC) is conducting a Practice Analysis Survey of the Mastectomy Fitter. The survey results will help: define the certification, education and training of future fitters; develop valid and reliable examinations; and convey to others outside O&P disciplines the scope of services provided by certified mastectomy fitters, according to a press release.
The survey will be emailed in mid-July. ABC encourages all of its certified mastectomy fitters to participate in the survey. If ABC does not have your current email address, please send it as soon as possible to [email protected].
Certified mastectomy fitters are in a unique position to provide vital information about the practice of and contribute to the future of the profession by completing and returning the survey, according to the release.
